I absolutely love hearing about couples who grow old together and are still deeply in love after decades of being married together.

That’s the story of my amazing client and neighbor Betsy’s parents. Being the loving daughter that she is, she wanted to make their anniversary special so she placed a custom order of orange/brown cymbidium orchids to put on their anniversary cake.  She and her husband are artists that also have their own art gallery at the Santiago Art Walk which also made me want to take extra special care in making their flowers.

She was gracious enough to email the pictures her photographer took of that day.

Luckily, I had a lot of practice working on my green cymbidium orchids for a wedding cake topper I had worked on for a previous client.  You probably recognize this picture from my blog post months ago.

Orchids are one of my favorite flowers.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to get around to learning how to make the other gazillion types that are out there.

Have a great week!
