My husband and I absolutely love going to Hawaii and people think we’re crazy when we tell them that we’ve been there now 3 times during the four years we’ve been married!
The other two times we’ve gone we went to Maui, but this time since my sister has been living in Kona on the Big Island, we decided it would be another awesome excuse to head out there again. It was great because my youngest sister Becky was able to take some vacation time off of work so it was kind of a mini family reunion!
We had our very own tour guide the whole time since my sister’s now a local.
One of the first days being there, Debbie took us on a hike to Waipio Valley which is known for it’s beautiful waterfalls and an amazing black sand beach. This is us after the 3 hour hike! We literally had to go downhill for one mile, hike for several hours through rivers and streams, and then a one mile hike straight back up to finish it off.
Our calves were killing us for the rest of the trip!
These are my two spirited sisters. You could never guess by looking at this picture that one of them saves lives for a living and the other educates children. They always act super silly and love to ham it up for photos.
This picture probably better depicts their personality best … crazy girls!
I wish I could go to Hawaii all the time, but I guess living in California is the next best thing so I can’t complain.
I hope you all had wonderful summers!
Happy Friday!!
you lucky ducky. Wish i had an excuse to go to hawaii nearly every year. I’m glad you had time to catch up with your sisters and be inspired to make more beautiful flowers!
